The main alloying element of 7050 series aluminum alloy is zinc. Adding magnesium to the alloy containing 3%-75% zinc can form MgZn2 with remarkable strengthening effect, so that the heat treatment effect of this alloy is much better than that of Al-zinc binary alloy. Increasing the content of zinc and magnesium in the alloy, the tensile hardness will be further improved, and its resistance to stress corrosion and spalling corrosion will be increased. After heat treatment, it can achieve very high strength characteristics. The material will generally add a small amount of copper chromium and other alloys.
